Second waitress came to the phone and said they it was always that way and they didn't post prices for the sake of "tradition". I told her that five years ago, they posted prices but she got annoyed and put me on hold. She said prices change frequently and it had been that way for as long as she worked there.

I didn't want to burden her with retrieving the price of each item from the computer for me, plus what about everyone else who wants to know the prices? I said there had to be a list somewhere with the prices. She hemmed and hawed and said there wasn't one but would gladly tell me the price of any item over the phone.
Anyway, I phoned up and spoke to a waitress a couple of weeks ago and asked where I could get a complete price list. I don't like/trust businesses which don't post prices.
Well, it's five years later and the menus still don't have prices. When I asked a waitress why no prices on the menu, she claimed it was a screwup and they were ordering new menus. About 5 years ago, they got new menus without prices and. They used to have paper menus with prices as well as posting prices of their most popular items on their white boards. I have gone to the Vienna Inn for many years.
